Don’t miss great presentations, networking, and more!
A diverse mix of local sustainability efforts will be highlighted at the Corvallis Sustainability Coalition’s next Quarterly Gathering on Friday, July 29, from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Corvallis-Benton County Public Library. The gathering will feature brief presentations by two Coalition partners, one Coalition action team, and our student interns. The public is invited.
Presentations by Steve Starcevich of Seeds for the Sol and Ryan McCambridge of Linn Benton Food Share will highlight what their organizations are doing to help create a sustainable community – environmentally, socially, and economically. Lani Beavers, Intern Program Coordinator/Supervisor for the Sustainability Coalition, will introduce three OSU interns who will tell about the work they’re doing with the Coalition this summer. There will also be a presentation by Owen Dell of the Coalition’s Food Action Team, which has just launched two new projects.
The gathering will include an opportunity for networking and information sharing by attendees, as well as delicious local refreshments from First Alternative Co-op. The July gathering is sponsored by Coalition partner Republic Services.
