Join the Corvallis Sustainability Coalition!
Participation in the Sustainability Coalition is open to local organizations and individuals who support its vision, mission, and goals. There is no fee for participation. By becoming a Coalition partner, you’ll have an opportunity to increase the effectiveness of your sustainability efforts by:
- Reaching more people through increased communication
- Strengthening support for your initiatives, as well as those of other partners
- Learning from other partners’ successes
- Participating in projects with community-wide visibility
- Receiving training in science-based systems approaches to sustainability
What does it mean to be a Coalition partner?
Each organizational partner designates a representative to receive communications, attend quarterly Coalition gatherings, and provide input. Individual partners and members of partner organizations are encouraged to serve on Coalition action teams and committees. For significant public positions and significant actions taken on behalf of the Coalition, the Steering Committee takes proposed positions/actions to partners for a vote. Adoption of a proposed position or action requires approval by at least two-thirds of partners that vote.
