Find out about safer alternatives to hazardous products.
Spring is a perfect time to make the transition from hazardous cleaning products to safer alternatives! The Coalition’s Health and Human Services Action Team invites you to a special event to help you learn how.
HAZARDOUS CLEANING PRODUCTS:
Minimize Your Exposure &
Learn Safer Alternatives
Monday, April 11, 2016
6:30 to 8:00 pm
Corvallis-Benton County Public Library
The program will begin with a presentation by Jen Coleman, Health Outreach Director at Oregon Environmental Council. Audience Q & A will be followed by discussion and distribution of FREE Green Cleaning Kits, while supplies last. Each kit contains a spray bottle of all-purpose vinegar/water cleaner, a box of baking soda, and a handy guide with recipes for do-it-yourself cleaning products.
This event marks the launch of a Green Cleaning campaign sponsored by the Sustainability Coalition’s Health and Human Services Action Team to identify and promote safe alternatives to hazardous products that are regularly used, but that pose a threat to personal and environmental health. Using safer cleaning products not only protects the health of people and the environment. It can save you money!
