Green Cleaning

Safe Alternatives to Hazardous Cleaning Products

green-cleaning_productsThere are many cleaning chemicals available on the market today. Here are tips to help you choose safe products.

Buying a product?

  1. Read the label first! The label will tell you how to use the product appropriately and what to do if it is accidentally spilled or ingested.
  1. Look for signal words. These words tell you about any potential human health effects.
  1. Want to learn more about what is in your consumer products?
Check out the Consumer Product Information Database  or the Environmental Working Group Database.
