Corvallis Creeks

Oak Creek, Corvallis, Oregon

Projects

  • Research local creeks
  • Lead stream tours, give presentations and provide information at events
  • Initiate and manage on-the-ground projects to revive life in the creeks
  • Produce outdoor displays, brochures and non-print media

The Creeks

We are working on six Corvallis creek systems. Click on the creek name for more information.

  1. Dixon Creek: North central Corvallis from Dimple Hill past the wastewater treatment plant to the Willamette River
  2. Oak Creek: West Corvallis from McDonald Forest through the OSU campus to the Marys River
  3. Lamprey Creek: West Corvallis from Skyline West neighborhood through MLK Jr Park to Oak Creek near the intersection of Walnut and Harrison Blvd
  4. Dunawi Creek: Southwest Corvallis from Bald Hill to the Marys River
  5. Jackson Creek: North Corvallis from Dimple Hill through Crescent Valley to Jackson-Frazier Wetlands
  6. Mill Race: South Corvallis from the Marysville Golf Course to the Marys River at Hollingsworth & Vose (formerly Evanite)

The Water Action Team partners with:

  • Greenbelt Land Trust
  • Other Corvallis non-profits, agencies, local governments and institutions
