One of the joys of gardening is that you can answer “What’s for dinner?” by going out to pick it fresh or selecting something home grown from your pantry. You could be serving home grown sweet potato fries or rutabaga hash. Come learn which varieties of winter squash to grow for their great taste and storage life, and add colorful and crunchy carrots, kohlrabi and radishes, along with branching broccoli, kale, chard and other greens (and reds) to your meals through the winter. Presented by Darren Morgan, Shonnard’s Nursery Manager and educator, who grows much of his family’s food.
