Natural Areas Resources

Organizations

Audubon Society of Corvallis

Supporting conservation of the natural environment for wildlife and people.

Greenbelt Land Trust

The Greenbelt Land Trust benefits the people of Oregon’s beautiful Mid-Willamette Valley by protecting open space in their communities. Working with willing landowners and private and governmental organizations, they have permanently safeguarded over 1500 acres of farmland, forest, meadowland, and riparian areas.

Native Plant Society of Oregon

The Corvallis Chapter of the Native Plant Society of Oregon is centered in Corvallis and is involved in the education and conservation of native plants.

Neighborhood Naturalist

The mission of the Neighborhood Naturalist program is to teach the people of the Willamette Valley region of Oregon that exciting natural experiences are just outside their window. We also promote the philosophy of bioregionalism.

Sierra Club – Marys Peak Group

The Marys Peak Group operates from Corvallis, Oregon and serves the region of Benton, Lincoln, Linn, Marion, and Polk counties—from Yachats to Otis on the Pacific coast and over to the high Cascades. We take our name from the nearby Marys Peak, the highest mountain in the coast range.
