JACKSON MEADOW RESTORATION
Join us for a volunteer opportunity at Jackson Meadow in OSU’s McDonald-Dunn Research Forest. Much of Jackson Meadow, a 27-acre site with remnant oak and prairie habitat, has suffered from woody encroachment and invasive species. At this event, we will be hauling limbs and logs and rebuilding burn piles to improve ground conditions for ongoing restoration activities. All volunteers, complete IAE’s volunteer release form.

Join the Institute for Applied Ecology (IAE) for a volunteer weed pull dayat Henry Hagg Lake. Invasive weeds can overwhelm important nectar resources for native butterflies within a few short years, if left untreated. Help restore habitat for the threatened Fender’s Blue butterfly and learn more about the local prairie ecology and species’ recovery work. All tools and instructions are provided.
