PARK(ing) Day 2018:
The Transportation Action Team converted a single parking space on 2nd Street into a park.
PARK(ing) Day is a global event where community members temporarily transform parking spaces into creative pop-up parks. It creates opportunities for residents, students, artists, designers and activists to rethink the use of public space by converting on-street parking spaces into interactive public spaces. The first PARK(ing) Day event took place in San Francisco in 2005 and has since spread to cities around the world, taking place on the third Friday of September.
