Celebrate and support Corvallis’ creative community in an innovative event on the 3rd Thursday of each month, featuring local artists, local businesses, and local food offerings. The first such event will take place in Downtown Corvallis on Thursday, November 17 from 4–8 pm.
The 3rd Thursday collaboration was initiated by members of the Economic Vitality Action Team who are fostering a thriving local arts and entertainment hub as an economic driver. They reached out to organizers of the Corvallis Arts Walk and the Food Action Team to combine existing efforts into an ongoing 3rd Thursday event in Downtown Corvallis.
The November 17th event will feature local artists Bruce Burris, Patti Larkin, David Paul Bayles, Adrienne Fritze, Janique Crenshaw, and Emily McKenzie, as well Terra Viva Gallery, The Arts Center, and Alisha Whitman at Art in the Valley. The featured restaurant will be Castor, which combines a wide variety of organic, sustainably produced, local foods to create delicious, unique offerings. Locally-owned shops to be featured are Conundrum House and The Golden Crane.
Printed and online maps to the 3rd Thursday venues will be available at each of the participating locations, as well as on the CAW website at www.corvallisartswalk.com.
The Corvallis Arts Walk is an artist-run organization dedicated to connecting local artists and community members through a monthly in-person and virtual arts walk featuring Corvallis artists.
The Sustainability Coalition’s Economic Vitality Action Team has been a co-sponsor of the Buy Local First campaign for more than a decade, and the Coalition’s Food Action Team has organized annual farm-to-table events featuring local restaurants since 2009.
This collaborative effort provides a great opportunity for artists, businesses, and Corvallis residents to join together to support our local economy and our creative community throughout the year. Organizers encourage everyone to make Downtown Corvallis a regular destination on the 3rd Thursday of each month from 4–8 pm.
